Coaching for internship & career start

To ensure that our students are not alone in facing the great challenge of starting a career, our University has created the Career Service as a contact point for all questions regarding internships and career entry. In addition, once a year we organise a Get Together, where company representatives and students can get to know each other and exchange information.

We advise students and graduates personally on further professional orientation. In practice-oriented seminars, we impart important skills that prepare for working life, and in various events we establish contact between students, career starters and practice partners.

Current job offers for students from our corporate network are published in a separate portal "Job Teaser". Students can easily register on the portal, log in and view job offers via our online campus.

Partner companies that would like to publish job vacancies for students of DEKRA | Hochschule für Medien can – after consultation with the university – also register at Job Teaser and post job or internship offers there. The Career Service will be happy to answer any questions: careerservice@dekrahochschule.de; T: +49 30 29 00 80 219

The Career Service of DEKRA | Hochschule für Medien offers:

  • Courses and individual support for career planning and goal setting

Contact for all questions regarding internship and career planning is Anna Marta Potocka. Advice for your internship at home and abroad

The course, all study programs at DEKRA | Hochschule für Medien are designed to give students a broad foundation for everyday professional life. But, the best technical skills in media industry are nothing without a vital network. The internship is therefore not only intended to give students a chance to try out, but to actively build their own network. This makes it easier to start your professional life.

Finding the right internship or the right way into the job is not easy. There is no patent remedy for the wide range of opportunities that are available in the media. Each field of work has its own specific requirements in terms of working methods and content. We will help you to find your way around and will be happy to advise you.

Internship abroad in Europe - ERASMUS+

DEKRA | Hochschule für Medien can also award ERASMUS+ scholarships to students who complete their 3-month compulsory internship in another European country. All students of our university and graduates in the first year after graduation can apply for ERASMUS+ grants. Further information and forms can be downloaded from our Online Campus. Information about ERASMUS can be found here: Erasmus Charter in English.

First contact point for information on applying for an ERASMUS+ grant and questions about the internship is Anna Marta Potocka: anna.marta.potocka@dekra.com

Internship in non-European countries - PROMOS

The PROMOS scholarship of the DAAD is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The DEKRA | Hochschule für Medien can subsidize stays of its students in non-European countries. This includes study trips (e.g. to do research for the bachelor thesis) and internships. Applications are open to all students who qualify through special achievements and a complete application. The application form for PROMOS is available in our Online Campus under Downloads.

Information on how to apply for a PROMOS scholarship can also be obtained from Anna Marta Potocka from our Career Service.

Für das Immatrikulationsamt ist Frau Potocka zuständig.
